Cancellations.com.au was founded by owner operator, Karen West, out of the need to find an easier way of dealing with last-minute cancellations and availability lost on a sea of accommodation websites. Incorporated in 2008 Cancellations Pty Ltd is a privately owned company trading as cancellations.com.au. Cancellations.com.au first launched into the last-minute accommodation space in June 2007 and since then, we have successfully created a niche in a market place that is awash with last-minute websites, being the only accommodation website in Australia to offer accommodation providers access to a live 'last minute classified' advertising commission free. Since our initial launch, we have restructured our business model and have successfully chartered a course towards optimal growth. We have done this by offering not only a space where last-minute accommodation can be purchased, but also one where last-minute cancellations and availability are posted in the form of 'classified advertising' offering three new features 'hotels, resorts, apartments - deal direct', 'boutique accommodation' and live 'last minute classifieds - availability posted'. All three features give your clients a direct link to your website, which allows them to deal with you direct. Giving large hotel chains and small operators the added advantage of saving on the (generally accepted 10%) commission paid to last-minute and static websites, which can significantly drain annual profits. We believe that it makes good business sense to deal with a large majority of your client base. If on enquiry the dates requested are booked, it also gives suppliers the opportunity to utilize the expertise of staff, by selling alternate dates, packages or special deals. We may live in the computer age, but the fact is that not all consumers are comfortable with booking accommodation online. Cancellations.com.au is ranked in the 'top three' organically on page one of Google, Yahoo 7, ninemsn and other search engines for 'last minute accommodation' and other related searches.
